Don't Let the Internet Break YouSubmitted by Prosperity Advisory Group on December 10th, 2018

If you were able to join us this past weekend for our Prosperity AMC Movie Exclusive showing of Wreck-It Ralph 2 – Ralph Breaks the Internet, we hope you had a great time. It was fun seeing all of you!
Over 200 of you were witness to Ralph and Vanellope, six years after the events of "Wreck-It Ralph," now friends, discover a wi-fi router in their arcade, leading them into a new adventure, the Internet.
While on (in) the internet, Ralph and Vanellope discover exciting things such as search engines, auctions, advertising, video-sharing and gaming. However, they also discover some pitfalls and problems await them, too. They are introduced to things like spam, viruses and the dark web. And as we saw in the movie, things quickly got out of control.
But, because it’s a Disney movie, everything works out in the end.
That’s not true with the internet you and I traverse daily. While exciting and informative, the internet is also something with which we must be vigilant and cautious. Because spam or a virus we encounter can have dramatically different consequences than that of a Disney movie.
We are aware of that … and we want you to be equally aware. We want to help you preserve what is yours and protect yourself from those on the internet who want to take what it yours – and that can be tangible (money) and intangible (identity).
Last January we introduced you to our Fit to Click, One Hour to Saavy Cybersecurity Workshop. Here we helped you understand how to protect your credit files, your credit / debit cards, and practice better password management all to help you be more safe and secure while online.
This January we are presenting our Fit to Click – Saavy Cybersecurity 2.0 workshop. We’ll help you learn more about social engineering and how to protect yourself while on the internet.
We hope you can attend one of our workshops! Until then and always, be careful!
